Post Bringing back DDR and free advertisment?
I seen a few posts around the net about oops alley having DDR tornies and thought you might redirect them to your place when you have downstairs opened up , might attract crowds if you host them.

My self im going to attend the local DDR at oops alley , I know im not the best but im definintly going !

*This is Kevin if you dont remember the username*

The advertisement would be easy too , the players in the torny that are act on the forums tell there friends and there friends and boom you got a crowd , not only that but i know a few who rather avoid oops alley sence there machines arnt really that good nore are even close to playing stepmania which has a better variety.

I know you didnt have success first go round , but this might turn things around if people who play competively join in on the floor instead of rookies who are too embarrased to step up.

*Personal note) My grammar sucks I know I know ! But the idea wouldnt be bad!?

We would love to have the DDR arcade here, especially when we get downstairs open. One issue however is that the machine runs about $15,000, the parts for repair have to come from Japan so they take a while in case there is damage that needs to be fixed, and they are not imported any longer so getting an American one is like trying to find a needle in a hay stack, the Japanese ones cost about $24,000 including sea freight.

We have been keeping our eyes out for an affordable one, if we find one we will most certainly add it.

The stepmania pads were not able to handle the wear/tear, and was costing up 3 times what it made in repairs. We had a lot of complaints that the pads were not sensitive enough as well for the more hardcore DDR customers causing misses on hard songs. So we decided that it just wasn't going to cut it. If better pads get released for it, we can probably try them out. Just seems most of the pads aren't really arcade quality, just arcade look. ;/
